Devil's
Claw is a South African herb.
The Devil's Claw has ugly thorny fruit, but it is one of the most valuable
medicinal plants that South Africa has provided
it is a creeping herbaceous perennial plant with a robust central root
comprising a group of secondary tubers hanging from it.
It has anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, analgesic, sedative and diuretic properties. It is mainly used to treat arthritis, and myalgia against musculoskeletal pain (arthritis, tendonitis, back pain, etc.).
It is traditionally used to treat muscle pain and inflammation. One teaspoon in a cup of water 3 times a day is the recommended daily dose. Arpacophyte should not be consumed during pregnancy.
