Marjoram
was a well-known medicinal plant to the ancient Greeks. It is said that
goddess Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, gave the plant its
fragrance with a gentle touch and is therefore considered a symbol of love
and honor. It is a very important plant that safeguards good health in many
different ways.
Marjoram Spanish comes from the plant known by the common name Thymus
Mastichina. Marjoram essential oil comes from steam distillation of the
leaves and blossoms of the plant and has a spicy, warm aroma .
Marjoram essential oil is used in aromatherapy as an analgesic, antiseptic,
anticonvulsant, energizer, emmenagogue, nervous system stimulant and muscle
toner. It is also used to tackle constipation, dyspnoea, irritated skin,
migraine, depression, decreased sexual desire, sniffle, weak immune system,
high blood pressure, inflammation, insomnia and sprains.
