It is used to heal wounds as a soothing digestive system, as well as against flu and colds.
It works spasmolytically and helps prevent and treat circulatory and cardiac problems, relieves headaches,
and stomach disorders, toothaches and abscesses. It also acts as an anti-diabetic, menstruating but also as aphrodisiac (in Crete they are also referred to as 'erotic').
