Typical names are propylene glycol (PG) and monopropylene glycol (MPG). Propylene glycol can be made in various grades. The most controlled grade is called propylene glycol-USP / EP and is manufactured and distributed according to high industry standards. Normal PG class is called industrial type. Both grades can be traded under different brand names.
